Chad has been creating pottery for over 25 years. Starting out as a young man inspired by clay courses taken in High School, Chad is continually exploring and experimenting with alternative firing methods to achieve a surface on his pieces that invite the viewer to dive into a visual journey. As a young man working as an apprentice to ceramic artist James Loso, Chad discovered the many nuances and characteristics offered by a ceramic surface. Chad's work today involves exploring and experimenting with developing surfaces that interact with flame and colorants. Each piece is a connection to the curious nature of fire and the unpredictability it brings.
